How to bid
- Primes: each advertisement states the net prequalification classification required; subclassifications the prime lacks must go to prequalified subs. See our MDOT bidding guide.
- Goals: each call lists required DBE participation and Small Business Program participation.
- Documents: MDOT posts each letting's Notice of Advertisement and proposal information on its BidLetting site.
- Subcontractors and suppliers: our county hubs list the firms in each county, for example Wayne.
- Bonds: public contracts over $50,000 require payment and performance bonds (MCL 129.201).
